Welcome to the holy month of
Ramadhan. Ramadhan is very familiar for us as moslems since we were child
actually. Do you still remember we always welcome it with joys? We “celebrate”
the coming of ramadhan by torch parade,
decorate our house in order to be more beautiful, etc. Wow...that’s
amazing we jazzed it up together. Actually, do we really know about Ramadhan? It’s a big question for all of us. Our
prophet warns us in order not to only get hungry and thirsty during our
fasting, yeah because not all of us had understood what Ramadhan is.
Okay then...let see the meaning
of the Ramadhan. Ramadhan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the month during
which Muslims have fasting from morning twilight
(Fajr Prayer) to the evening twilight (Maghreb Prayer). The term Ramadhan is
literally derived from al-Ramd which means
‘burning heat of the sun’. It is believed that this name is given to the fasting month due to the
thirst experienced during fasting. It is narrated from our Prophet that the name is given to the fasting
month because fasting burns the sins.
Ramadhan recently...
When Ramadhan comes, every moslem
tries to do many rights behaviour. Yeah...because Allah promise to give us many
reward for every single goodness that we do. Moreover, you see many station
televisions broadcast religion cinemas,
many actress dress politely, and so on. We should be proud showing our spirits
of worship when Ramadhan comes. However, we also feel sad because the phenomena
of the public happened in Ramadhan only. They seem to worship Ramadhan not to
worship The God of Ramadhan, Allah SWT. Is that so horrible? Infact, besides in
Ramadhan, we still find that some of us do not do like we do in Ramadhan. We
left our good behaviour after Ramadhan passed.
Behind the Scene of Ramadhan...
Ramadhan gives meaning that
Allah’s blessings and mercis will bring us to enter the paradise and avoid from
the hellfire. It’s only be got by following Allah’s guidances. Allah decreeds
in al Qur’an, Chapter An nur verse 40 : “or (the unbelievers’ state) is like
the depths of darkness, one above another : If a man stretches out his hands,
he can hardly see it! For any to whom Allah giveth not light, there is no
light!”. We can’t wait to get Allah’s guidance, it is about our effort and
struggle to develop our faith. Ramadhan provides us a lot of ways to get closer
with Allah. Don’t waste your chance !. We are taught to fill our fasting in
Ramadhan with reciting al Qur’an, the biggest miracle for us as moslems until the
end of the world. Hopefully by His blessing, we can get Allah’s guidance in
Ramadhan.
Ramadhan, here you are...
Ramadhan
is a special gift for Muslims to be the best. Our prophet, Muhammad SAW, has
proven that he won in many wars during Ramadhan. Yeah...it is the real evidence
that Ramadhan brings spirits of warriors to be the best. So, what is your
choice? You get something or nothing in Ramadhan, you’ll be the one or none? It
is the time for us to design ourself in this Ramadhan, not as a loser but be
the true winner of ramadhan. Bring our spirit of Ramadhan into our daily
activities in the rest of 11 months.
